Blue through and through!

After the awesome homecoming game the Lyman Eagles played last night (awesome come back in the last quarter, then a win in overtime!) Justin and I came home and got busy with Justin playing Halo Reach (most wives become widows during football season, I do when a new xbox game comes out) and me reading the 2nd book of the Hunger Games series (AWESOME! CAN'T WAIT TO READ THE 3RD ONE). Since we were both busy with our own activities, we decided to order a pizza for dinner. Justin and I bought one of the Rent-a Flick large pizza coupons from the volleyball fundraiser (if you live or have lived in the this little valley in Wyoming know what I'm talking about). Called and ordered, waited 15 minutes, went and picked it up, brought it home, got out plates, opened the box AND..................

YUM!!!!!
Blue??

Yup, that's blue all right!
It took us awhile to figure out why the pizza was blue (homecoming....). Kinda wished they would have told us beforehand so it wasn't quite such a suprise. Remember when you were a kid, and the leprechauns came and dyed your pancakes, eggs, and milk green and it tasted so good? Ya, thats not quite as appetizing when your an adult.  Needless to say, blue pizza isn't our favorite, we were both able to eat about 1 piece, and a few bites of another (at least we got some down).
I guess its safe to say that we are blue through and through :)

Catch up # 3 Hunting

I'm doing awesome playing catch up today! Three posts in one day... AMAZING!
Here is the final post for the day... Our Hunting trip. Jim, Celeste, Justin, and I all went antelope hunting on Saturday. Celeste and I just went along for the ride. It was fun for the most part (not including the crazy bouncing, or the sideways, steep, cliffy hills!) We kept following around 1 heard because there was an Antelope that Justin wanted to shoot, but he just couldn't get the right shot. They would all clump up together, so you couldn't shoot for fear of hitting another one. Then when they got to the point that they were spread out... They had their heads down so you couldn't see which one he wanted. We still had fun, even though we were defeated, and I got some cool pictures!

The herd.
sneaking up...
checkin them out...
Such a cool picture.. I wish I had a better camera that would have zoomed in more...
This one is my favorite, I love how you can see the antelope right in front of the boys!
Coming back to the truck defeated... But at least Justin is smiling.
Celeste and I were glad they didn't get one at this point... It was getting
really dark and COLD!!!
Justin's new hat with his hunting motto for the year!

For Brittany...

Ya know how I told you about the pancakes? Well, when I washed off Cody's hands there wasn't alot of syurp on them.... When I was getting ready to mop the other day, I pulled out the stool and this is what I saw...
We love you Cody!
Obviously I'm not a mom... so I'm not used to this, but I thought it was pretty dang funny!

Star Valley 2010--- yes I know its a little late.

It has taken me forever to want to do a big post... then when I finally try I have more issues with blogger than ever. So here is my 3rd attempt at blogging this trip. It really was a great trip!

Justin and his Grandpa-- the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

We started out golfing! It took me a really really long time to get the hang of it... But it was fun still :)

Dee Golfing
Justin Golfing
Glenys Golfing
And Me...Told ya it was hard for me to get the hang of!

After golfing, we went home and took a nap, then decided to try to go out on the lake!
It was pretty rough water.
Grandma and Grandpa on the boat.
Then a wicked looking storm came in right as we got into the water, so we were only able to spend 30 minutes on the lake. Dang! But we went out to eat at Tootsies (our favorite pizza place) and stopped at the Cheese Factory for cheese curds!
YUMMMMMM!
The next morning we woke up to this note...

Funny huh?
I thought it was so stinkin funny that I had to take a picture! The lightening storm from the night before, had hit the water towers killing the motors.... So we had no water. Luckily we didn't need to shower that morning becasue the plan was to get down and dirty that day 4 wheeling.

He are some pictures of us 4 wheeling. We picked up another couple for this adventure, Bob and Reva!

Grandma and Grandpa ridin in style!
Bob and Reva going through the mud... You should have seen my white coat after this puddle!

And of course Justin and I!

This trip was full of turnin around. This was new country for everyone, and there was lots
of dead ends... Or trees that had fallen in the middle of the trail.

After 4 wheeling, we enjoyed some Awesome shakes from Star Valley Cheese Factory!
I think this one was called "Big Daddy!"
At night... Many hands of Cards... I actually had a GREAT
hand this round!
And those of you who know Grandma and Grandpa... Its not
a night unless you've played at least 2 rounds of
hand and foot! We loved it!

This was our trip in a nutshell! And at the end.... I think it was justin and I that were the most tired!

Sorry it is kinda spaced funny and some stuff is in the wrong spot. Any suggestions on how to use the new editor for blogger?

Annie, Sarah, and I (and Felipe, poor guy, he probably thinks we're pretty weird!) were able to get together this weekend, and we got to talking about the past. So girls, I found these pictures, and decided to post them for you! It was great to spend time with you this weekend!
We had this picture taken at the Rendevous in 2005... Priceless
See no Evil, Speak no Evil, Hear no Evil
We were always together.

CAMPING!!!

We had the opportunity to finally go camping this weekend. We have wanted to go all year, and we just haven't had the time, so this was kind of a spur of the moment trip! We got up there on Saturday evening set up camp, and looked for firewood. Justin felt the need to cut down a tree.... so we did, (well he did)! Its a lot more work than it looks, but it was quite the experience. About half way through Justin decided he never wanted to do it with a good 'ol ax ever again, so I guess we will be buying a chainsaw next summer :)Justin Cutting down the tree.
I'm not sure if this video will work or not... but this is the tree coming down.
(sorry its sideways)
After it was sideways I attempted a few spings at it.... I'm not so good at cutting down trees.
Justin's blisters after it was all over and done with.

We made dinner, tinfoil dinners, and banana boats (minus the marshmellow, because I forgot it) YUM!!! Then just sat and read and talked until the fire started to die down, so we put it out and went inside and read somemore. The wind started blowing so hard that poor Justin had to go outside and put the fire out 2 more times, even though we had really put a ton of water on it before.

The fire that wouldn't go out!

The next morning we slept in, then read some more. I finally got the ambition to get up and make us some omlets for breakfast...... We had onion, green pepper, cheese, mushroom.....everything but the eggs! Dang it! LOL, luckily we brought bread and a toaster so we had toast instead.

I ended up reading 2 whole books, and Justin got pretty far into the book he was reading too. We were able to play a few games, and just spend time with each other. All in all it was a great trip!

Just the 2 of us....

We are gettin ready to head out to an overnight trip to the mountains! Can't wait to get up there, smell the mountain air, eat tinfoil dinners and banana boats, and just plain relax!

Medical Conclusion...

SELECTIVE MEN'S SYNDROME

Definition: When men don't want to admit some of the things that are a part of normal, every day life.
Stage One: Selective Hearing- comments like, "huh", or "you never told me that," are normal answers when the selective Hearing stage has set in. Its funny how they hear what they want... Instead of what was said.

Stage Two: Selective Smelling- occurs 3 years into your marriage (probably earlier if you have kids). Stinky Diapers are the most occuring selective smell...

* I'm sure there are many more stages... but sadly...this is where we are at at my house.

I came home tonight to Justin babysitting his nieces. As soon as I walk in the house, this awful smell hits my nose (and because I've had a cold, my sense of smell is almost nonexistant). When I say "someone is stinky," Justin replies...."That must have just happened, I didn't smell anything." So I change the cuplrit.... there is NO WAY that just happened.... We were lucky it didn't go on any longer or we would have had a MAJOR blow out!

This must be a part of being married for 3 years. It used to be, "honey, someone is stinky, its your turn to change them," but tonight stage 2 has set in, and it is now "I didn't smell anything".... Women, Beware of Selective Men's Syndrome.

Three Years Down Our Path....

And Eternity To Go!

I guess you know when you've hit that 3 year mark, because even though anniversaries are special.... sometimes life gets too busy to celebrate too much :). Between Turbos, Yard Work, Church Interviews, My Work, and Grave Yards for Justin..... There hasn't been much time to celebrate, but ya know, I wouldn't change a bit of it for the world! I am so happy to be married to such a wonderful man. I'm so lucky to have a man who, every single day, I can't wait to get home and be with. A man that makes me laugh, is a great example, and makes me want to be a better person in everything I do. So even though your sleeping soundly right now..... I love you Justin! Thanks for being such a wonderful husband and amazing man. I don't know where I would be without you, and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Lovin' Every Minute!

Life is GREAT isn't it! We are having such a great time as a married couple! One week from tomorrow we will have been married for 3 years. Crazy huh? I am such a blessed girl to have such a wonderful husband. I honestly have no idea where I would be without him. I love him so much, and I'm so happy to be his wife! Justin makes me laugh every single day. Here is one of my favorite "Justin Funnies" for the week.

Justin and I decided to BBQ last Sunday. We've never cooked ribs before.... so we thought we would give it a try. I called my mom and she said that pork needs to be white to eat it.... no pink. So we cooked, and cooked, and cooked them. And they turned out awesome, right! They looked beautiful, and tasted even better......

Except for one. It had alot of pink in the middle, so we decided to put it back on the grill. Justin had put the grill on high so that the extra stuff would burn off..... Not quite thinking about that little detail, we put the ribs back on for a few minutes. Justin went out to get the ribs and came back in with this look on his face. Showed me the ribs...

Then told me to go look behind the BBQ.... This is what I saw....
Yup, your right that's our siding stickin out there.... The BBQ just happened to be a little too close to the house, and totally melted our siding! Luckily, we had a few extra pieces the people that sided the house left, so its all fixed now! It was pretty funny though!

On Monday... I GOT A PIANO! No its not new, No its not perfect, but YES, Its MINE! I haven't been so excited about something in a really really long time! It's been stored in a feed shed, so it was really really dirty, but after at least 8 hours of cleaning it...
It now looks like THIS!

Not too bad for FREE huh? Its a little beat up, needs tuned, and the inside needs cleaned... But for the most part it works, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE It! Its been so nice to have a REAL Piano to practice and play on!

We have also been working on the yard... Inbetween crazy spring storms, sticking snow, and COLD wind! Thanks to Brady, we were able to get our well dug. We were a little worried about putting all this money into a surface well, and having it produce no water, but we have 6 feet of water thus far... so hopefully it will continue to work "well" for us!

This hole doesn't look too deep in this pic, but it's about 14 feet deep. It was pretty dark by the time we got the pipe put in there so we didn't get any pictures of it, but it seems to be doin its job! We are hoping that it will work good enough to water our lawn that we are getting.... In JUNE!

Now that we have the well dug, we are getting the sprinkler system done. The 1 weekend that we could actually rent the trencher we needed, we woke up to snow. So, we pulled out the ol' long underwear, long sleeved shirts, hoodies, and carharts and got to work. The trencher got stuck once... thanks to the awesome mud the snow left! We got the lines painted, and trenches dug. Our yard still looks like this because we weren't able to put down the poly pipe since the weather wouldn't cooperate.

We are hoping that the weather will cooperate a little better for us this week so we can get a few more things done in the yard. I have the brick that needs put up around the house for the flower bed, and get the pipe down for the sprinkler system.... Guess we will wait and see!
