Winnings, Losings, and a Whole Bunch of Fun!

We had a WONDERFUL weekend! Starting off with me gettin out of work early Friday, followed by 2 Softball games, we won one, and lost one. Got up early on Saturday, Justin went to the golf tournament, while I got ready for the parade. Parade went great! We had kids come ride with us, and even though Janet and I had to run some of the little kids bikes to catch up with the bigger kids, I would say it was a success! BBQ tasted wonderful! (Ok, it always does but still...) I went home after the BBQ.... and took a solid nap. I guess runnin the entire parade route about killed me! Had 2 more games on Saturday, lost both, but hey at least I made a few points for our team that day! Rodeo was fun that night, its just fun to be in that atmosphere!

Me... Probably gasping for air from running :)

Ball Phobia Anyone?
Ya, pretty sure I didn't hit the ball...

We call them.... Weak Ankles

Justin and his golf team did ok. They only came in 3rd this year, however, Justin played an amazing personal game! He recieved the longest drive award (I was suprised too :)), and it sounds like he had a blast! I guess those Pamida special golf balls we had to buy the night before when we realized we didn't have any, worked great!

He bought us both hats :) Some... better than Pamida golf balls, and won the lovely trophy sitting on top of my silhouette :)

I think now, I'm ready for bed. I'm really really sore from softball, in fact, I hope I can make it to the bed. Night!

July

So, I went into Wal-Mart today... There was Back to school stuff everywhere! I can't believe that it is getting to be that time of year! Where did the summer go? I swear, it goes way to fast! Justin and I are just gettin back into the swing of things around here. Justin had the past 2 weeks, off, and I had the past week off also. It was wonderful! We didn't really do anything to fun, (well, except a day at Lagoon) but we did get alot of yard work acclompished! We got the pegboard done in the shed.. which looks GREAT! Rain gutter up in the back so the rain coming off the roof won't kill my flowers, and Justin came up with this awesome flood system for the garden that we put together. We went to Harry Potter, pretty good I must say. I've been on a Marcial Lynn McClure kick lately, and I've read 3 of her books the past week (The Tide of the Mermaid Tears, Kiss in the Dark, and Divine Deception :) They all tie in my book!) I've been cleaning up the sewing room, and the spare bedroom and what do I find? A bunch of projects that I have yet to finish, so I've been trying to do them tonight, I finished 2, and that is a start!
I also redid the box that I got when my Grandma Webb passed away. It had a whole bunch of stuff she had/was making. After I went through everything, I decided to turn the box into a blanket/xbox/wii accessory box. I spray painted it, and cut some vinyl for it, and I think it turned out really cute! I finished my moss picture frame ( LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!) And a little Love collage/kit I got from Busy Bee a long time ago for my bedroom :)

Before

AFTER!

This weekend should be pretty fun, and I will hopefully have some fun pictures to share! I had to go and buy some softball mits ( we've borrowed for the past 2 years, so Its time that we got some of our own, thankfully, they had some on clearance at walmart!)

Justin's is black, and mine..... brown and PINK! We are going to play in the softball tournament, this will be our 3rd year on our ward team. We aren't very good, but we have a GREAT time! Justin has a golf tournament on Saturday, they did really good last year and came home with this... (2nd place) so they are all or nothin this year and we will see how they do... maybe if they do better we can get rid of this trophy...

The primary kids are riding bikes this year in the parade... hopefully we won't loose any kids! :) BBQ, Rodeo... I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!
Here are just a few pics from the month of July. Enjoy!

She thought she was pretty cute..... OK we did too :)

Tryin to teach cody how to suck in the root beer clouds, and blow them back out

Excited for fireworks!

Glade broke down in the Ford, so Justin and I went and got the rollback and went to pick him up. Its pretty funny actually!

Life, Death, and the Bat Outta Hell!

Yes, there is a bad word in the title of this post, but that is honestly the name of the firework that just about killed us tonight!
We went and shot off fireworks at my parents house tonight.  (don't worry, we saved half for tomorrow). I think going over to my parents house to shoot off fireworks has been a tradition since we got married, and we decided that we had better make a special effort to go this year since Landon may be on his mission next year! All went well, and they were fun.... up until the finale. Landon shot the big artillary firework called the Bat Outta Hell that shot 16 shots. One, after another, after another. The first one went up, and the second, and the rest.... well.... decided to shoot sideways, maybe it tipped?. Justin ran for cover behind my dads truck, and the rest of us sat there covering our heads, hoping we wouldn't be the next victim! Lol, mom was screaming in the back, and to think... I was seriously going to video it for the blog, but my brother lit it faster than I could turn the camera on... Oh well, good memories! Happy 4th of July Everyone!

June

Oh they say when you marry in June....

Justin and I celebrated our 4th anniversary this month. I can't believe its been 4 wonderful and amazing years! I can't believe how in love I still am with the boy. He is the greatest! I was suprised with some BeAuTiFuL RoSeS at work (I'm one lucky girl!). We decided to go stay at the Alaskan Inn for our anniversary. We ate at the Timber Mine, then the next day did some Home Depot shopping to get stuff for a few projects.

Our Cabin at the Alaskan Inn
We built and planted a garden! This is our first year, and some things look good, others...... But its been fun to try. This picture is a week or two old, but you can see that we have a few things growing! Its been in for about a month and the carrots have yet to come up.... but the summer squash, winter squash, zucchini, peas, radishes, lettuce, spinich, and onions all have. I don't know if the spinich and lettuce will make it or not, but we shall see!
Everything is bigger now, but I'm just excited there is some green!

We had 2 birthday bashes in 1 day for Kyce and Brylan. Here are the quilts I made for the little kiddos. I loved the way they both turned out!

We had a few boards left over from the garden, so we decided to make a flower garden in the back yard (the front one still has to be finished so don't drive by to see it :)) Its kinda nice to have a little piece of heaven in the back yard.

Lets see... what else ( I have to go through my pictures to see what we've been up to).

We went for a ride up in the mountains with Jim, Celeste, McKayla, and Brylan, to go and see the water levels. It was pretty crazy to see all the water coming over the spill way. Here are some pics of the mountains, and the flooded fort!

Water going over the dam (about 4 feet I think)

They came into Sunday School in church on Sunday, and released all the men from their next class to go and sandbag for the fort. It was different, I can't ever remembering them do anything like that before. So all the dads would come into Primary and hand the mom's the keys, making the kids really really wiggly (they knew something was up). We all kinda felt like the pioneers when the men In the Mormon Batallion left. We were left with all these kids who didn't understand what was going on! But we made it through (after getting after them to be reverant) and we survived.
The Fort

Oh, I finished my cake decorating class the past week also. Here was our final project! I love fondant! It is so much fun to work with!
My Final Project! :)
I'm going to try and blog more, but we will see. Justin started 14 days off today. I'm so excited! We have so many projects to finish! We also have a family reunion, and hopefully a trip to Lagoon in a few weeks. I have 10 days off starting the later part of next week, so we'd better be getting these projects done!

I've been trying to start running too... we will see how this goes!
