Its Time

According to my siblings, its time that I announced where Landon is going on his mission….since it has been 4 weeks….

TORONTO CANADA!

This is how far away Landon and Annie will be from each other. Exactly 428.26 miles apart!

We are so excited for him! He leaves on 6-6, exactly 2 months from today. He is really excited!

I made Kaiz’s birthday cake… they were really patient with me because I’m nowhere near perfect yet, but it was cute!

Justin and I have been working on the lots next to us, cutting them down that is and getting rid of the old truck parts. We have one little patch of grass that we are hoping we will finish cutting down this weekend… if it doesn’t snow!

We got new couches! We LOVE them! I still need to make pillows for the love seat : )

My parents gave us our early Birthday/Christmas present…

Its an electric fireplace. It puts out so much more heat then our built in one, and its more efficient! We love it! Thanks mom and dad!

Annie left for the MTC today. I got to go with her and my parents to drop her off. It was fun to go and spend a little time with her before. Then we took her to the MTC…. parked at #5 I think…. the Elders greeted her, picked up her luggage, and she was gone. Ahhhh! Its going to be a crazy 18 months without her. But she is going to be a wonderful missionary!

Today…

Have you ever felt like your life is spinning out of control? Ours did today! It was nuts! We got up really early… left the house at 6:30, picked up my dad, and headed to Utah. Annie was going through the Timpanogos Temple today at 10:00, we had to be there at 9:30. Leaving 3 hours early, when it takes less than two to get there… Plenty of time.. right? WRONG! We knew the roads had been closed due to snow, wind, and wrecks… so we decide to take the back road… wrong again! Between the interstate being closed to EVERYONE (unless you want a hefty fine and possible jail time) you couldn’t get on at all. So we went the back way to TA. Through Robertson which is a lot of backtracking, and a 30-40 minute longer ride. Finally make it to the back road by TA….. SNOWDRIFTS! We have an awesome truck… but not that light of a truck…. all in all we ended up having to go to TA and sit there for at least 90 minutes before the roads opened. By that time, we knew that we wouldn’t make it…. my mom called and they were able to push it back for us! In the meantime… my grandpa made it to the temple, thought he was late, left, and went home. Freaked out my mom… which freaked out me…. which irritated Justin… It was crazy! We finally made it to the temple, poor mom, Annie, John, and Jan, just had to sit there and wait 2 hours for us.. But it was a wonderful experience! We were able to meet my Grandpa afterwards to eat lunch. Then we hurried to Evanston to pick up a few things, and ran home so my dad could catch the end of Nat’s Sr. year of the Lyman v.s. Mountain View game! Before hand however, he had to get the mail to see if Landon’s mission call came. ( We didn’t think it would, because it took Annie an extra week), but it was here! So in about 5 minutes we head over to my parents to see where he goes! Stay tuned!

Happy Valentines Day… A day late!

We hope everyone had a GREAT Valentines day! We sure did!

This year, we decided to have dinner at home… Candle lit and everything : )

Justin cooked the steaks and made me a cake! Isn’t he awesome!
I made twice baked potatoes and green bean casserole! Yum!

My husband got me some BEAUTIFUL Roses…

He got world’s longest package of chocolate covered cinnamon bears… And his favorite Juicy Pear Jelly Beans!

The BEST Valentines Day is where you get to spend time with the person you love. We kept it simple, and it was amazing! I love you Justin!

Life… Updated

Let me begin by saying… It has been one stinkin crazy day! Sometimes between being a wife, work, and 3 callings, totally wears me out! Life has been great lately! Justin has worked a few days of overtime, and I put in some really long days this week too! I think we are both really tired, and can’t wait for this week to be over!
Sunday:
Justin and I are quite the team. About a month ago, after watching cupcake wars, Justin and I made these delish cupcakes.

This inspired us to make these ones for the super bowl party! They were pretty good, and looked better when they weren’t 3 days old : )


Good old pintrest is the best! I also made these for the party!


Wednesday: I ran almost 2 miles. I walked a bit after my first mile, but then ran another .8. I’m getting there!
Thursday:
I finished my quilt block! Good thing since it is in the morning!

Finishing the quilt block almost me late for Rachel’s Band/Choir concert with was wonderful! After the concert, I picked up Justin and went to my parents house because….

Annie received her mission call! She will be going to the Columbus Ohio mission!

She is so excited! She enters the MTC on April 4th. Its gonna come so fast!

This boy has his papers turned into the Stake President as well… He is just waiting for the Stake President to insert his comments and send them. So in 3-4 weeks we should know where his is going as well! Its crazy!

Today:

Justin and I both worked. I ended up working until 5, then had to run a few errands before coming home and making homemade biscuits and Gravy. After I made it… I realized that it was probably the worst meal I could have made while we are on our diet… but it was sooo good!

Speaking of diet, I’ve lost 7 pounds… Justin has lost like 14… little stink has such an easier time loosing weight then I do!

Tomorrow:
I have to be all ready to go (in a dress) by 7:40 to get to quilt block before 8.

Go to the Church Leadership meeting at 9.

Baptism at 12.
Hopefully talk my husband into taking me to The vow : )

Puppy?

After having cat issues at our house, and the fact that kids won’t be in our future anytime soon (stupid Dr. appointments anyway)… we decided to get a puppy this summer. I’ve been begging Justin for a puppy forever, and he finally said we could get one. We have a lot of work to do before we can get one, yard…fence…sprinkler system…sheesh!

So, Justin went to Utah today, an stopped at walmart on the way home. I asked him to pick me up a 1” binder, so what did he do? He bought me the best of both worlds. a 1” binder… with puppies on it :) Not that, but golden retriver puppies, just what we wanted.  I guess this will have to do for awhile. What a man!
